Colour
Do you feel light in a yellow room? Does the color turquoise make you feel calm and relaxed? Have you ever opened your closet in the morning and instantly been drawn to a bright red dress? Colour is everywhere you look, and everywhere you don’t look – and it has the power to reflect or guide our behavior. Certain colours have been associated with increased concentration, others with pacifying characteristics, and others with the ability to energize. The link between colours and mood is intrinsic and at Altearah, we champion the ability of colour psychology to illuminate our emotional truths.
What is a colour wavelength?
Colour is light, a simple wavelength that reflects, bends, and refracts through all kinds of particles, molecules and objects to reveal to us the colour we see. The range of colours that are visible to us have wavelengths that fall approximately in the 390 to 750 nanometre range.
